Laurissilva forest, Fanal, Madeira Island, Portugal

The Laurissilva forest is a unique botanical relic, classified by UNESCO as a Natural Heritage of Humanity, in 1991. These originated 20 million years ago in Continental Europe. Currently, the island of Madeira is the largest and most preserved forest spot on the planet. It consists of trees from the 'LAURACEAE' family.It's located in Fanal, Paúl da Serra, Madeira Island, Portugal
